Who is Kurt Durlesser?

Born from the pre-yuppified loins of Santa Monica, California, Kurt Durlesser has been through as many shifts and changes as his hometown; he has been performing [adorably] since the age of 4 for family and friends, with and for students and their parents; later on he dabbled in shameless street performing for small groups of hearty homeless wanderers and crowds of soulless window shoppers; private weddings, going away parties, and anniversaries. He has performed acoustically and electrically, providing a vast repertoire of original pieces ranging across multiple genres and personas, as well as eclectic covers, imaginative reworkings, collaborative homages, adult parodies of classic kids’ music--his music can be described as enlightening, charming, smothering, and empowering.  He engages audiences with his eccentric wit, ill-spirited dramatizations, unique brand of ‘gay’, and multi-media, multi-genre performance style ranging from ‘wholesome’ to ‘adult’.
